registerWhat is astrological light, how is it embedded in astrological symbolism, and how should it be interpreted in the many layers of chart delineation?

DATE: Saturday, December 30, 2017
TIME: 9am-12pm PST

In this workshop, Michael Ofek will explore The Role of Light in Astrology: A paradigm of light, vision and reflection: the philosophical and practical roles of light and how it expresses the differences between planets, signs, aspects, houses, sect, aspects, solar phases and more.

Light, both physical and metaphysical, serves as an overarching principle of the astrological phenomenon. Ancient astrology has a rich tapestry of concepts revolving around light, characterizing astrological dynamics in terms of relationships of light and dark, vision and reflection, with many elements defined and measured by their differing quality and magnitude of light.

Light reveals and conceals and becomes a medium of interaction within the chart. Understanding the underlying principles of light integrates the multitude of concepts into one cohesive whole, and literally illuminates the chart back to life.  What is astrological light, how is it embedded in astrological symbolism, and how should it be interpreted in the many layers of chart delineation?

The lecture will explore the primary role of light, philosophically and practically, while also showing how it expresses the differences between planets, signs, aspects, houses, sect, aspects, solar phases and more.

This is a culmination of Michael's over two years of research into the fundamental connection of the concept of light to the astrological language. Earlier this year, Michael spoke of his work with Chris Brennan in his podcast. You can listen here: https://theastrologypodcast.com/2017/04/24/light-darkness-and-polarities-in-astrology/
