Arabic-era astrologers took ancient understandings of planetary dignity and debility full throttle and devised countless ways to determine which planet has the most say over things like profession, family, and even pregnancy. The resulting “winner” of their calculations became known as the almuten, or “governor,” of various chart topics. In this workshop, we will learn how to integrate almutens into our practice.

The practicums have evolved from initially interpreting solar arcs in participants' horoscopes to using solar arcs and transits to predict current events (the ultimate real-time education and test of your astrological skills). They are fairly advanced (in-depth interpretations of forward and converse Solar Arcs, Solar Arc Midpoint techniques and transits). 

But everybody familiar with solar arcs is welcome to join, practice, learn and share this unique experience with the largest, best and most dedicated ongoing group of practitioners performing this kind of astrology anywhere. Hone your skills!

The "Consultation Chart" popularized by Evangeline Adams in the 1930's was used at least as early as the 12th century. It's a remarkably effective bridge between natal and horary for clients. Robert Glasscock's special 2-hour workshop illustrates why and how he uses it in virtually every reading; to supplement natal sessions or when horary's "Considerations Before Judgment" preclude answering urgent questions. Learn the specifics of Consultation Charts and how they uncannily focus the client's life in the moment of consultation and going forward into the future.

Since ancient times, the tapestry of constellations has provided a library of settings and stories that acts as a backdrop for the traveling planets. The jumbled origins of constellations and star names is the foundation of modern astronomical and astrological terminology. Accumulated multi-cultural myths, star lore and astrological lore are fused into star meanings. Discover how the planets absorb and convey unique facets of stellar influence through natal planetary placements. The four Royal Watcher Stars magnify traits and life-challenges; sample charts show the benefits and dangers of these. Learn how to utilize Ptolemaic star attributions as interpretative clues – these are rarely mentioned but they’re invaluable interpretive tools. We’ll examine star pairs, star conjunctions, star oppositions and squares, including the Armada Square and the Wild Ride-Wild Child Square.
