We are used to the idea that reincarnation has long been an accepted concept in India, China and other countries in Asia. But this talk will survey the surprising places where ideas about reincarnation also surfaced in Western astrology, spirituality and philosophy.
We will look at some of the varying ideas about how and why we reincarnate and whether or not there is an escape from the wheel of life. Along the way, we will explore how these ideas intersected with astrology. We’ll start in ancient Greece with Pythagoras and end with ideas about the spirit and reincarnation in modern astrology..

Enid discovered astrology in the 1970's. She went with friends to listen to a lecture by Dane Rudhyar. From that point on she was hooked. She particularly enjoys introducing students to the dynamic livingness of an astrological chart. She is also fascinated by astrology's history and philosophy as well as its intersection with magic, culture and spirituality.
