"Isn't it sad to go to your grave without ever wondering why you were born? Who, with such a thought, would not spring from bed, eager to resume discovering the world and rejoicing to be part of it?" Richard Dawkins - Aries English ethologist, evolutionary biologist, prolific author and outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins is an emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford. He popularized gene-centered evolution and introduced into evolutionary biology the influential concept of far-reaching phenotypic effects of a gene. He founded the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science. He's won an impressively lengthy list of awards and honors for his research, work and phenomenal output. Though we don't have an accurate birth time, what configuration in Dawkins' Solar Horoscope best reflects his exhaustive lifetime of questioning and scientific investigations of biology's and life's deepest mysteries? |
||||
All of the above – in spades! His entire horoscope's configuration. (The Moon's noon position can vary 6° either side, but remains in Pisces.) His Pisces 12th House stellium in opposition polarity to Neptune retrograde in Virgo (6th House of work) are all intensely investigative, probing, curious, deep-thinking, potentially scientific-medical-biological-philosophical-existential positions. His earthy, pragmatic Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus stellium in Taurus ("just the facts", physical sciences) sextiles one end of that opposition and trines the other. It's also in a Grand Trine with Mars exalted in Capricorn in his 10th. And his outspoken, pioneering, brilliant and independent Aries Sun trines retrograde Pluto in Leo – promising extreme success and influence on the masses through his work, his words and his creative output. Obviously, not everyone born on this date with these horoscopic potentials will have been born abroad with the wider worldview and benefits of Dawkins' particular parents (father was landed gentry), both oriented toward the natural sciences, who answered his young questions scientifically and actively supported his higher educational track. But it only takes one man or woman to actualize, maximize and communicate the collectively and scientifically huge implications of this remarkable birthdate for humanity. (While others born this day will have a lesser-known but proportionally similar impact within their particular spheres, cities, towns, villages, and families.) |

Elements of Fate, surprise, and luck enter your life in April to play significant roles in the months ahead. It's good that you've planned and worked hard toward a particular goal, because something seemingly unrelated may arise that capitalizes on all that while taking you in an important and rewarding new direction. You're also likely to suddenly meet or interact with important contacts, friends, friends of friends, or groups that directly and indirectly influence and further your dreams! One of these can be the conduit for a major positive turning point in your life, even if only or primarily virtual (through the internet) instead of personal. Pay down debts and face financial responsibilities squarely in the second half of April, rather than spending on needless indulgences. The need for social distancing during the time of the coronavirus helps cut back on spending (apply to debts or add to savings). But the general economy can be so fraught, erratic or unexpectedly harsh that some will react in unnecessary panic. Think long-range, delay gratification. People show their true colors during crises. While you may be hurt or repulsed by some in your circle, during these polarizing times and clashes in values, there are others (perhaps newer friends and loved ones) whom you learn you can depend on – and vice versa. |

![]() Presented by Maurice Fernandez DATE: April 4, 2020 TIME: 1:00 - 2:30 PM Pacific Time / 4:00 - 5:30 PM Eastern The 12th house is probably one of the most misunderstood corners of our chart. Maurice will explore different signs and planets in the 12th house to illustrate its fascinating dynamics. Understanding the 12th house can provide a whole new perspective on the natal chart and the person’s evolutionary journey. |

The chart that is calculated using the lunar nodes is called the draconic chart. Learn how to blend this chart with the tropical chart and use draconic transits, which indicate the moment in which our unconscious tendencies manifest themselves, very often in the form of major events that alter the course of our lives. |

Understanding Venus by her phase relationship to the Sun and Earth gives us a greater understanding of the way Venus operates in our astrology. If we know one synodic cycle of Venus well and our Venus phase, we can then adapt to any astrology chart, and incorporate the Venus phase and the Venus star cycle to our astrological delineations. |

Pallas Athena is an important tool in astrology given the landscape of the world’s current politics. As marginalised populations work to rise through their repression and a persistent dichotomous environment continues to ferment and fester, Pallas’ message is crucial. This lecture looks at Pallas in the natal chart and by transit. Connecting the asteroid to some of the greatest champions in recent history. |
