The instructors in the Kepler educational program are known for their astrological knowledge and ability to teach in a challenging online program.

Arens Christine6Christine Arens is certified as both a Professional and Teaching astrologer through the AFA, and holds a Level-III certification through NCGR. She has over 40 years of experience in astrology and has been actively consulting and teaching since the early 1990s. She has served as the President of the Chicago-based Friends of Astrology since 1993, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of both the AFA and Kepler College.

Cossar Faye1Faye Blake (formerly Faye Cossar) was one of the first MA graduates in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in 2004, from Bath Spa University College. This course is now run at the University of Wales, Lampeter.

Faye started studying astrology in the early 1970's in New Zealand where she was born. While in London from 1984-1986 she began her studies with the Faculty of Astrological Studies. Faye now has her astrology, coaching and therapy practice in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she is the founder of the Amsterdam School of Astrology. She offers advice to businesses through her company Juxtaposition.

Faye is the author of one of the textbooks for the Vocational Astrology course:  “Using Astrology to Create a Vocational Profile”, a book based on career counselor’s methods. The first course at Kepler was given together with Judy Holloway to very enthusiastic students in 2015. Faye also offers a one-to-one apprenticeship for Vocational Astrology through the Amsterdam School of Astrology.

 

 

ChristenGary Color 200x205Instructor Gary Christen is a well-known practitioner of Uranian Astrology, which he is evolving into modern Symmetrical Astrology. An astrologer since his teens, he is the first person in modern times awarded an accredited B.A. degree in Astrology (Livingston College, Rutgers University, 1974). An international lecturer, Gary has been teaching since the early seventies. A professional astrologer since 1969, Gary has maintained a practice while he edited and created many publications and tools to assist astrologers throughout the world.

Susie CoxSusie Cox was the master Astrologer at Canyon Ranch Health Spa in Tucson, Arizona for decades (she is now retired). She became an astrologer in 1971 and has interpreted over 44,000 charts to date. Her book, The IDA Directory, was sold in 57 countries. She is a well-known leader in the international astrological community and a member in good standing in the ISAR, AFAN, NCGR and a founder of TAG (1979), the Tucson Astrologers Guild.  As an accomplished speaker in her field, she is regularly invited tolecture at national and international conferences and has clients all over the world. One recent book, Susie’s Sun Signs, was bought by Barnes & Noble and presents astrology in a fresh and modern way.

Susie has been featured in the New York Times, People Magazine, Forbes and Washington Post.  She was also featured on A&E, National Geographic and The History Channel.  Susie is listed in Marquis's Who's Who in the World, James R. Crane Joseph 2016 100pxJoseph Crane, M.A. Received BA from Brandeis Universe with a major in philosophy, an M.A. from Lesley University with an Independent Study degree. Joseph is a consulting astrologer, teacher, and author.  As the co-founder of the Astrology Institute in the early 1990’s, Joseph has conducted training programs on astrological interpretation and counseling skills for astrologers. He has been involved with the Kepler College and Certificate Program since 2007.

Joseph is the author of A Practical Guide to Traditional Astrology (1997), Astrological Roots: The Hellenistic Legacy (2007) and Between Fortune and Providence: Astrology and the Universe in Dante’s Divine Comedy (2012). Duvendack Bill 100px

Rev Bill Duvendack is an ordained independent Spiritualist minister who is an astrologer, internationally known psychic, legally certified medium, presenter, teacher, and author. He has presented in many venues, ranging from colleges and high schools to national and international conferences.

Bill is the author of the published books “Vocal Magick,” “The Metaphysics of Magick,” “In the Shadow of the Watchtower, Enochian Grimoire Volume 1,” “Spirit Relations,” “Awakening Lucifer,” “Sat En Anpu” a book on Anubis, and “Astrology in Theory and Practice,” with several other essays released recently. He has had over a dozen essays published in various anthologies, and his magical writings have been translated into 6 languages. He regularly teaches classes on magick, astrology, and modern spirituality, nationally and via webinars. He has been interviewed by the NY Times, RTE 1, and has made many TV and radio appearances. Glasscock avatar 12 17For over 53 years (and 45,000 clients!), Robert Glasscock has been a Los Angeles-based astrologer consulting with clients from over 122 countries. For many years he authored over 250,000 words annually in “American Astrology Magazine’s” monthly and Annual Yearbook issues for Publisher Joanne Clancy. His writings for newspaper columns, magazine articles and anthologies have been cited by Liz Greene, among others.

Having begun to build his own clientele, Bob was invited to study with Linda Goodman in the ‘60s. Since she no longer saw clients (intently writing her second book), she referred her clients to Bob. He became an early member of Joan McEvers’ and Marion March’s Aquarius Workshops, lecturing there as well as national conferences and conventions. He’s been invited to address a variety of forums from the Bank of Beverly Hills’ after-work seminars to the UCLA Medical Wives Association to political, professional, media, civic and religious organizations.

Cornelia Hansen Cornelia Hansen, MA in Early Childhood and in Clinical psychology. She is a Licensed MFCT (Marriage, Family, Child Therapist) and has been in practice for 17 years.

Cornelia has also been an astrologer for over 40 years. She was taught by Joan McEvers and Marion March. She was a teacher for LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District in the Early Childhood Center for 25 years. She also taught English, Psychology and Humanities in high school for 9 years. Cornelia wrote the Kidwheels column for Aspects Magazine on children’s charts for three years.

Hillis-Dineen, MadalynMadalyn Hillis-Dineen, C.A. NCGR, is a nationally-known astrologer. She began her study of astrology with the Uranian system in 1979 and has taught, lectured, and practiced Uranian (Symmetrical Astrology) techniques for more than 30 years. She is certified as a Consulting Astrologer by the National Council for Geocosmic Research and is a certified astro*carto*graphy interpreter.

Madalyn has written for a variety of publications, StarIQ.com, and is a contributor to the Llewellyn anthology, Astrology for Women: Roles and Relationships. Since August 1994, Madalyn has been the Marketing Director of Astrolabe, Inc., publishers of Solar Fire. She has helped hundreds of people make the most of their Solar Fire program through her best-selling DVD series and thousands more every day at Astrolabe.

Madalyn also teaches courses at Kepler College in Uranian Astrology and Astro*Carto*Graphy.

Judith HollowayInstructor Judith Holloway has a Masters of Public Health and earned a Master of Arts in Eastern and Western Traditions: The History, Philosophy and Transmission of Astrology from Kepler College. Judith has studied astrology since the early 1980s. She is currently continuing her research in the area of astrological factors and their correlation and usefulness as predictors for health care outcomes. Judith has also been employed in the health care field since 1974.

LanaKirtser2 100x100Instructor Lana Kirtser was born in Kiev, Ukraine and immigrated to the U.S. in 1979. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. For the past twenty five years, she has worked as an information systems consultant and project manager in Southern California. Her interest in astrology began during her first Saturn return while attending lectures and classes at the Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles. Between 1995 - 2001 she studied astrology with various teachers associated with the Aquarius Workshops. Her first mentors were Gloria Stein and Marion March.

langford, robin Presenter Robin Langford earned a BA in History and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida.

Robin has taught middle and high school history and transitioned into working in online education and freelance writing a decade ago. Her passion for education, astrology, online marketing, content creation, and entrepreneurial endeavors coalesced in the creation of the Astrology Entrepreneur Association, an online community of astrological entrepreneurs.

She teaches business, SEO, marketing, content creation, social media techniques, course creation, email marketing, and other entrepreneurial essentials for astrologers.

Luman EleanaInstructor Elena Lumen, PhD, is a traditional western astrologer and psychologist with a busy counseling practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Elena got her PHD in psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. She wrote her dissertation on the value and appeal of astrology as a system of meaning. Elena is a traditionally trained professional astrologer specializing in horary, electional and traditional predictive astrology.

 

Mateus Maria100pxMaria J. Mateus, has a BA in psychology from the University of Texas and MA in astrology from Kepler College.

Maria believes the key to understanding all of astrology, is to understand the manner in which language and mind reflect the world we live in. In 2002, her desire to demystify the relationship between inner emotional states and outer world manifestations led her to embark on an investigation that culminated in the development of the LINCOS grammatical approach to astrology.

mccauleyKaren McCauley has an M.A. in Educational Psychology from UCLA and spent four years studying clinical psychology at California Graduate Institute. She was the Editor of ASPECTS Magazine, an astrology journal, from 1987-94. A long-time associate and friend of Joan McEvers and Marion March, she taught for Aquarius Workshops from 1976-1999 and has lectured for AW, OAA, NCGR and UAC. She has served on the AW Board, the AFAN Steering Committee and as Oregon Astrological Association Treasurer and President. Karen currently serves as Kepler’s Director of Student Services and the Director of the Certificate Program.

McGillivray TamiraTamira McGillivray holds a BA in East West Traditions &Astrology 2007 through Kepler College. She belongs to OPA (The Organization for Professional Astrologers) and is the Past President of the San Diego chapter of the National Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR). She writes a weekly “Silverdisc” Astro Lunar Column and is the founder and editor of the Maven Newsletter. She is currently not only an instructor at Kepler, but on the Board of Trustees.

Tamira is dedicated to connecting ancient wisdom to the modern world through speaking engagements, workshops, one-on-one consultations, and a weekly blog. She also produces a monthly Astro Cliff Notes column to help you navigate the stars, which is published on line with Nourish (a British Columbia on-line spiritual magazine).

As a Meditation teacher, Usui / Karuna Reiki Master (1996), PLR/Quantum Healing certified and RYT Yoga Teacher Tamira is dedicated to using a variety of methods and energy techniques to meet her clients individual needs.

menkes jacqui smJacqui Menkes is a graduate of Kepler College, crowning her study of the celestial arts of astrology of the past forty years.  Jacqui’s longstanding passion for astrology only grew with her education at Kepler College. She lives outside of Philadelphia Pa where is has her astrological practice based out of her home. She practices an eclectic method of astrology synthesizing all the various methods of astrology that were taught at Kepler utilizing her well-rounded toolbox for her clientele to meet their various needs and demands  when it comes to the art of timing life’s cycles and events. In the past she hosted an astrological educational radio show on Blog talk radio interviewing the astrological educators.  She has taken the ISAR Consulting Skills and Ethics test and is preparing for the last part of her professional certification. She is currently serving on the AFAN Steering Committee and is in the process of helping to organize a Philadelphia chapter of the NCGR.

Miller, KennethInstructor Kenneth Miller, BA in Anthropology, Psychology, and Religious Studies from University of Colorado: Boulder; MA in Eastern and Western Traditions: The History, Philosophy and Transmission of Astrology from Kepler College; American College of Vedic Astrology: Level II certification; Council of Vedic Astrology: Jyotish Kovid certification. Kenneth is currently on the Board of Trustees of Kepler College. He loves astrology and is eager to serve the Jyotir Vidya (Goddess/Knowledge of Astrology).

Instructor Barbara Millios, has an MA in Communications from the University of Maine and a BA in anthropology and linguistics. Barbara has also studied at Kepler College. She has been an interpreter for the deaf for over 27 years.

Barbara uses an evolutionary approach for her astrology combined with esoteric studies in magic and healing. She has studied multiple approaches to Evolutionary Astrology, from ancient to modern times, including taking courses in both Jeffrey Wolf Green's and Steven Forrest's versions of Evolutionary Astrology. She has also been a member of the Wiccan community for many years. Barbara writes a popular column called The Mystic Moonbeam.

Enid NewbergEnid Newberg earned a BA from the Evergreen State College and an MA from Antioch University in Whole Systems Design. She first joined Kepler College as a board member in 1993, and was president when the college first opened in 2000 through the end of 2001. In November 2004, she rejoined Kepler College as the Registrar and Director of Student Services. Enid also has an extensive background in information systems and online learning. In July 2006, she was re-appointed President of Kepler College.

Enid discovered astrology in the 1970's. She went with friends to listen to a lecture by Dane Rudhyar. From that point on she was hooked. She particularly enjoys introducing students to the dynamic livingness of an astrological chart. She is also fascinated by astrology's history and philosophy as well as its intersection with magic, culture and spirituality. 

 

 

obert charles 100pxInstructor Charlie Obert is a student of astrology since high school, and has studied and practiced both modern and traditional astrology techniques. He teaches workshops and leads study groups on traditional astrology. Charlie is the author of An Introduction to Traditional Natal Astrology and Using Dignities in Astrology, which are currently being used as textbooks at Kepler College. His teachers included Dr. Benjamin Dykes and Chris Brennan.

Charlie's current focus is working on how traditional and modern astrologers can complement and learn from each other. He has a twice-monthly blog on astrology topics on his website at https://studentofastrology.com.

Ronngren Diane 100pxDiane Ronngren, C.A., Level IV, NCGR-PA has been a practicing professional astrologer and teacher for 30 years this year. Diane says, "I have had the privilege of learning from, working with, and sharing what I know with some of the best astrologers of our time, and I hope to continue doing so for many years to come!"

From the time she chose this career she has supported the astrological community as an active member of the NCGR, ISAR, AFAN and the AFA. Diane currently serves as VP of the San Diego Chapter of NCGR. She maintains a busy practice while teaching, writing, encouraging and mentoring others: clients, students and colleagues. Diane is the author of numerous articles, series, columns, booklets and books on astrological, metaphysical and motivational topics.

Gloria SciglianoInstructor Gloria Scigliano, has a BS Information Systems, San Francisco State University. Gloria's interest in astrology began in the early 1970s, after a difficult time led her to an astrologer for a five-minute-five-dollar reading. During the years of raising her children, Gloria worked in the software development field, eventually traveling all over the US and Canada teaching large corporations how to install and implement the company's financial software. There was little time for astrology, and there were so many laborious steps involved! Untold hours were spent dreaming of better designs for astrology systems. When Solar Fire came along, readings for family, friends, and then clients finally got serious.

scofield.jpgBruce Scofield, PhD University of Massachusetts; MS History of Science, Montclair University; BA, History, Rutgers University. Mr. Scofield has been a practicing astrologer since 1975 and has been a teacher and lecturer at many regional and national conferences over the last twenty years.

He has written many articles for various astrological publications and has published a number of important astrological texts, including Timing of Events: Electional Astrology; The Aztec Circle of Destiny; Native American Astrology from Ancient Mexico, and Signs of Time: An Introduction to Mesoamerican Astrology. Mr. Scofield recently received his PhD from the University of Massachusetts where he works on Gaia theory and solar system influences on climate and life. His PhD thesis examined temperature variations in the northern hemisphere correlated with Saturn-Sun geocentric alignments. stathis2Georgia Stathis, BS Communications, Northwestern University; MBA, Pepperdine University. 

Georgia is an internationally known professional astrologer, speaker,  teacher, and the author of Business Astrology 101: Weaving the Web between Business and Myth. She teaches at Kepler College and international organizations.Georgia's work is published in such journals as the Galactic Trader, NCGR, ISAR, OPA, Mountain Astrologer, and American Astrology. tebbs_carolCarol A. Tebbs, MA.Carol Tebbs attended Whittier College earning both BA and MA degrees in English, and shortly after, an MEd in Education. She was President of Kepler College from 2003-2006. Her 38 years of teaching Advanced Placement English to students receiving university credits is combined with her extensive Leadership Team experience in a large urban school district. As three time Accreditation Team Leader, Technology Grant Author, District Writing Program Coordinator, and District Mentor Teacher charged with training new teachers, Ms. Tebbs' experience and knowledge of the many facets of higher education complement her recent work with the College Board as a "writing assessment reader" and AP teacher trainer.

Thornell Inga 200pxInga Duncan Thornell graduated from Kepler College with a BA in East West Studies and a minor in Mythology. She continued her studies at the University of Wales, Trinity St. David in the Cultural Astronomy and Astrology program. 

She has returned to Kepler College as a Teaching Assistant in the Counseling and Relationships track. She also works with clients in a private coaching practice in Seattle, WA. Her interests include astrology, mythology and ritual.

Woodwell Donna 100Donna Woodwell, M.A. received two Master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, one in Journalism (Communication) and another in Latin American Studies (Her Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan was in the same.)  Though Donna attended grad school to become a foreign correspondent, she had no idea how foreign she would get. An explorer of Western and indigenous philosophical, magical and shamanic practices, she brings ancient wisdom to re-enchant modern life.

Donna is a full-time consultation astrologer. She also teaches at Kepler and has written for major astrology websites including Astrology.com, MySign and Astrology Hub. A former member of the ISAR and NCGR boards, Donna also serves the astrology community by helping astrologer’s learn to better market their businesses in the internet age.

Kepler Instructors are chosen for their expertise in academic and astrological knowledge and for their ability to effectively teach what they know to others in an online environment.

They must be able to produce quality instructional materials that enhance learning by using multiple strategies and approaches. They need to understand how to work with students remotely, and to develop the trust and respect of their students and colleagues.

They also need to stay up-to-date on new developments and examine the interplay of the new and old. And they must be willing acknowledge their own biases so they can present their students with multiple perspectives.
